I am delighted that we are continuing the Angkor Amateur Open and we are hoping to attract more golfers from new destinations. The first event was very successful and we are looking forward to building on last years tournament and making the 2010 Open more enjoyable and exciting said Adam Robertson, Manager of Angkor Golf Resort.
The format of the event will remain the same as last year comprising, 36 holes played over two days, using system 36 handicap format combined score over the two days. There will be different handicap sections and an impressive list of prizes to play for in each division. There will also be a gross score section which will ultimately decide the overall Angkor Amateur Open winner of 2010. The event is open to male and female players.
We managed to capture the attention of a good many golfers from around the world with the first ever Amateur International Open in Cambodia, and this year we wish to surpass all expectations by adding something different to the event. We are looking forward to once again show casing Angkor Golf Resort and Siem Reap as a unique golf destination Robertson added.
